Donations needed for SOS Center

SOS Center, Milwaukee (www.soscenterinc.org) caters to inner city kids. During summer they help 75-100 kids every day. The kids get tutored and receive meals. The program is FREE and is supported by private donations. They need many more items. Most of the items they need can be used. If you like, you can help by donating money for this cause.

Here is a list of items they need:
 
2 Small wood bats (ages 6-10), 2 larger bats, wood or aluminum (ages 10-14), 4 small baseball gloves (ages 4-7), 4 medium baseball gloves (ages 8-11), 4 larger baseball gloves (age 12+)
 
Refrigerator/freezer for the kitchen, Chest freezer, Paper shredder for the office, Carpeting (and possibly padding) for the upstairs lunchroom
 
Used baby and children’s clothes, both summer and winter, Used summer clothes in general for all ages and sizes (we have a lot of winter clothes right now), New socks and underwear (all sizes and ages)

Copier/printer paper 8 1/2 by 11, Postage stamps,
Toilet paper, Paper towels, Napkins, Paper plates/bowls and cups
Pine sol, Bleach, Cleaning gloves
8, 13 and 30 gallon trash bags
Diapers (all sizes), Feminine products (all types and sizes)

Hindi Courses at UWM

The Education Committee of the HTW is committed to strengthening our interfaith initiatives, as well as our relationships with the wider Milwaukee community and with local universities and other institutions of higher learning. The enclosed links announcing UWM School of Continuing Education's classes on Hinduism, Gandhi, and the Hindi language are an important part of this outreach effort. The Education Committee invites the members to contribute their time, effort, ideas, and suggestions to make our community outreach activities a grand success.
